3 New Must-Do's at Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel
Rarely does a property have this much news. There’s the new Butterfly Pâtisserie, a new, summer partnership with Palais Des Thés and there is now NONOS restaurant. We’ve got the scoop on all.
Butterfly Pâtisserie
Making its European debut 4 months ago, the Butterfly Pâtisserie is now open at Hôtel de Crillon. This luxury boutique showcasing signature chocolates, pristine pastries, artful cakes and seasonal specialties, was conceptualized at Rosewood Hong-Kong, and will be under the helm of the hotel’s Pastry Chef, Matthieu Carlin. Chef Carlin has created desserts worthy of the jewelry case inspired displays they rest in. “Butterfly Pâtisserie is a showcase of flavors; a boudoir, a place where you want to linger and not feel guilty about enjoying a sweet treat", he confides. Visit even to just marvel at their beauty.
Palais Des Thés
Hôtel de Crillon’s new partnership with French tea house, Palais des Thés, ensures a summer experience unitlike others. Through September 20th at the newly opened Butterfly Pâtisserie, the culinary experience begins with a perusal of a bespoke Hôtel de Crillon x Palais des Thés trolley, where guests can discover a range of iced teas that are then paired with the sweet creations of the hotel’s Pastry Chef, Matthieu Carlin - perfect for a refreshing summer treat. Available for dining in or enjoying on the go, the trolley offers three tasting experiences for a sensory journey along the Tea Trail, combined with sweetly indulgent pastries: Apricot Cheesecake, Red Berries Tart and Jasmine Flower Tart.
There is now NONOS
Opening a new restaurant means raising the curtain on the next act. That is undoubtedly why the Hôtel de Crillon chose Paul Pairet, a chef who is the very embodiment of the international scene, for the launch of NONOS. A place born from an intuition: a form which ultra-luxe hotels did superbly: the grill. As Paul Pairet likes to say: “You only have to utter that little syllable and it brings joy to your heart, a surge in your appetite and a smile to your lips.” NONOS is inventing and playing host to a French-style grill to turn the ordinary into extraordinary and put a spin on hearty fare, creating retro and classic dishes that are a sheer delight.
