Exciting Openings: Lucky’s SoHo
Lucky’s Steakhouse debuted its inaugural East Coast location in New York City’s vibrant SoHo neighborhood on July 19th. SoHo joins the lineup of Lucky’s Steakhouse alongside established locations in Montecito and Malibu, California, which opened their doors in 2000 and 2020, respectively.
Who
Lucky’s was founded by Gene Montesano, along with his friends Herb Simon and Jimmy Argyopoulos. Lucky’s Soho includes the next generation of Lucky’s – Herb’s daughter, Sarah Meyer Simon, and Jimmy’s son, Nico Argyropoulos, are joining the founders to bring Lucky’s experience to NYC.
Sarah Meyer Simon - Sarah has worked in the hospitality industry since 2008. In 2011, she founded The Simon Collective, a company that focuses on cultivating boutique brands and enabling creative thinkers to bring their passions to life. Through Simon Collective, Sarah is a founding partner of Butcher’s Daughter along with other NYC and LA hospitality brands. As a longtime resident of the area, Sarah joins her family and friends in introducing Lucky’s to SoHo.

What
Lucky’s Steakhouse was founded in 2000 in Montecito, California. In 2020, Lucky’s expanded to include a second location in Malibu. Lucky’s arrives to the East Coast by way of Soho. With 50 seats, Lucky’s Soho is the group’s most intimate experience yet. The menu will feature west coast favorites such as ‘Gene’s Filet’ (filet mignon, fresh horseradish and red wine sauce), alongside NYC exclusives such as Cajun Bacon. A robust wine program and tableside martini service will round out the experience.
In the fall, Lucky's will open its private dining room, which can accommodate 16 people seated and 25 people for cocktail style receptions. Lucky's can also seat large parties of up to 14 people in the main dining room by special request. Email events@luckyssoho for more information.
