Introducing Atria

This month, Four Hundred is thrilled to introduce our members to the newest and greatest opportunity Manhattan has to offer in the medical space – Atria. At Atria, their physicians offer the most top-of-the-line care for their community of members, with a goal of helping “people live not just longer lives, but healthier and happier ones.”

ABOUT ATRIA

Atria is on a mission to create a new paradigm in medicine, shifting from reactive sick care to personalized, proactive, and preventive health care by embracing a scientifically rigorous and up-to-date approach. They are powering a movement to improve people’s quality of life today and prolong healthy life in the future by taking the latest science and translating it into medicine in real-time.

They do this in three ways: At their Institute, they bring together a full-time group of distinguished physicians and scientists who use the most advanced diagnostic technologies to enable highly precise and personalized preventative care; through their nonprofit Collaborative, they disseminate critical, health information at no cost to as many people as possible, and they invest in proven interventions to help reverse or prevent disease in people who are medically underserved; and their Academy of Science & Medicine brings together experts from institutions around the world to create and freely share best-in-class knowledge and protocols with other doctors and the public. They believe that by investigating and implementing world-class preventative clinical care, they can learn what works, share that information without limits, and empower countless people locally, nationally, and globally to live longer, healthier lives.

Q&A WITH ALAN TISCH

How was the idea of Atria conceived and how does this relate to the mission of the company at large?

“When creating Atria, we asked ourselves what healthcare would look like if we built it for our closest friends and family. We knew it would be proactive, unwavering, and offer the highest-quality service and ambiance. We decided care would be delivered by a group of leading doctors who work together to optimize all aspects of your wellbeing—health, performance, nutrition, sleep, and more—in a truly personalized way that adapts over time alongside advances in science and technology. We also wouldn’t settle for optimizing longevity. Everyone wants that, of course, but we wanted to focus on a state-of-the-science approach to preventive health, too. We want to help people live not just longer lives, but healthier and happier ones. That’s what we’re doing at Atria.”

How does the design and atmosphere of the space relate to Atria's mission?

“We wanted to create the first doctor’s office that people would be excited to go to. How do we get people to care about their health? By creating an environment that radically rethinks the current healthcare experience. Atria was designed to be a space apart, where you feel protected and at peace—a place of absolute ease, where members could invest in their health with true comfort and privacy. We drew inspiration from the greatest hotels, restaurants, and homes in the world to design Atria in a way that merged hospitality with cutting-edge technology and medicine. The result is a new home for healthcare.

From the art to the linens, to our beverage program and our private member suites, every aspect was curated with our members in mind. At Atria, we’re delivering healthcare as it should be, and creating an experience where our members can be truly excited and optimistic about their health journey.”

What can MEMBERS expect when JOINING Atria?

“You can expect exceptional, modern, and compassionate preventive care for your whole family in a serene and hospitable environment, at your home, or anywhere in the tristate area.

Every member, including our pediatric and geriatric members, has a care team led by a dedicated Chief Medical Officer, who collaborates with our full-time specialists to provide continuous, personalized care in a setting that is unlike any hospital or doctor’s office they’ve visited. The Institute in Manhattan offers advanced screening on-site for performance, cancer, heart disease, brain health, and wellness as well as sophisticated diagnostics via our state-of-the-art testing and imaging center. And we’re expanding to offer all of this in South Florida, in 2023, too.

Finally, members can expect to feel cared for by our team 24/7, no matter where you are in the world—our vast global network means you have a team working for you no matter where life takes you.”
