La Reserve Ramatuelle, a little oasis near Saint-Tropez. It is tucked into the Côte d’Azur and is a creation by renowned architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte. It’s a romantic escape with amazing views and relaxing rooms & suites. We took some time to catch up with the General Manager of this spectacular hotel, Nicolas Vincent. What makes La Reserve Ramatuelle so special?
More than a hotel, La Réserve Ramatuelle is a destination itself. A palace in Ramatuelle, just a few minutes away from the famed beach clubs of Pampelonne bay that offers spectacular views over the Mediterranean from each of its rooms, suites, villas, restaurants and spa!, combining a hotel experience and private villas with all services. This is the best of both worlds as a Mediterranean retreat close to the action of St Tropez. Our boutique hotel has the largest rooms of Saint-Tropez, far from the crowds, in the most protected and unspoiled area of Peninsula.
What is your favorite place to have coffee in the morning on property?
A morning coffee on the patio of our bar sunbathing with the fabulous natural light and views of Cap Taillat and the rising sun.
How would you describe the hotel in just a few sentences?
La Réserve Ramatuelle is a resort with only 8 rooms and 19 suites: a 5* Palace hotel and 14 private and serviced villas, 3 restaurants and a 1000sqm Spa Nescens.
Located in a private domain overlooking the Mediterranean amidst unspoiled nature and 10 minutes from Saint-Tropez, one of the most famous villages in the world, La Réserve Ramatuelle offers guests the best of two worlds. Since 2019 we also now have our own private beach club designed by Philippe Starck. La Réserve Ramatuelle is now transported to La Réserve à la Plage.
Do you have any secret spots around the hotel? What makes them special?
The outside space of our Spa. A secluded terrace on property when overlooking the sea. You simply loose track of time after a relaxing Nescens treatment.

In a preserved side of the coast, La Réserve Ramatuelle sits on a stunning private domain with unparalleled views of the Mediterranean and several famous “cap” like Cap Taillat and the natural path long the Escalet beach. What new things can we expect from the hotel in 2022?
After a successful and acclaimed renovation of our public spaces in 2021 with Jacques Garcia bringing back the flair of St Tropez from the 60’s, we are renovated and test running two complete rethought suites this 2022 in view of a complete update for 2023! Wait and see 😉
La Réserve Ramatuelle looks so romantic. What romantic activities would you recommend on property?
What can be more romantic that opening a bottle of Michel Reybier Champagne upon arrival on your private outside space of your room or suite with the sunset on Cap Taillat ? Perhaps a dinner for 2 with a 360 degree view of the water and domain of La Réserve Ramatuelle on the Japanese rooftop restaurant. Did I mention that we don’t use electricity up there but only candle?!
What is your favorite day trip from the property?
So many choices, so many ideas!
If I had to give only 3…
Boat day around the St Tropez area and the coast of the south of France. Very very St Tropez !
Our head concierge is a fine connoisseur of the area and can recommend & give access to several foundations and private collections to visit.
Rent a vintage or collection car and drive around the wonders of the in lands of St Tropez area and head straight to Le Luc where Michel Reybier owns the stunning Chateau La Mascaronne. Rosé tasting and a private outdoor lunch!
